After The Pandemic Summer School is a month long, online summer school born during the Coronavirus pandemic. We have created a series of briefs which focus on Glasgow and how, as creative people, we can improve our city in the wake of Coronavirus.
Who can submit to Summer School?
Everyone! We are open to anyone who has creative ideas, and we’re strongly encouraging collaboration. Head to the Google form and put your name down to get in contact with a graphic designer/poet/artist/architect to realise an idea together.
How do I submit my outcome?
You can submit your ideas in any format - that means a visualisation, a poem, a piece of music, a piece of writing etc... send them to firstname.lastname@example.org before the 5th July.
So it’s a school - will there be teaching?
We will be doing virtual crits on Zoom during the month of June. Keep an eye on The Design Weans instagram account and Lateral North X’s website for details about when they will be and how to sign up.
Is this a competition?
Not exactly - there won’t be any winners. However, at the end of the Summer School, on the 9th July, we will host an online ‘closing party’, where we go over some of the stand out ideas with a panel of Glasgow based creatives, and discuss how we could take them forward to turn into real projects (don’t let this stop you from thinking outside the box though - be as ambitious with your ideas as you like!)
