Neil McGuire

Neil McGuire is a designer interested in communication, graphic design, education, architecture and art, and runs a design practice called After the News. He designs publications, websites, exhibitions and other pieces of graphic design for clients and collaborators such as Architecture and Design Scotland, Panel, GoMA (Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow), and Glasgow Film Festival. Neil is a part-time studio tutor in the Architecture Department at Strathclyde University and has worked in the Communication Design department at Glasgow School of Art.

Recent projects have included Test Unit (an architecture, art and design summer school, co-founded, programmed and run with Agile City and Baxendale), Livescore (a digital project bringing together young-people from three diverse locations to digitally collaborate on and perform a new devised production, with Imaginate) and THEN/NOW (a public art commission for Scottish Canals, funded by Creative Scotland, undertaken with Minty Donald and Nick Millar). He is a co-director and co-producer of the Architecture Fringe festival, and has quite a short attention-span.
